Notes for biography Note by Robyn Fisher: William Joseph was born in Westbury, Wiltshire, on 8 February 1835. He was christened on 7 June 1835 in the Old Meeting Independent Church, Westbury. An additional LDS record has an entry for William's birth in 1832 - father given as Edward Charles Maidment, mother as Esther Fanny Witt. I am not sure what to believe about the WITT details as this could just be an erroneous entry by researchers to the LDS databases. I have not been able to find any records to support this WITT surname.
